Giving it our all at the Chi-Town Showdown
Despite weather challenges and power outages, the Varsity team rose to the occasion for a postponed Chi-Town tournament at New Trier on Sunday June 21. The team was 1-3 for the tournament, playing hard and gaining exposure to varsity level lacrosse. Hinsdale succumbed to the fast and furious moves of Loyola, New Trier and St.Viator in bracket play and dominated Libertyville in the consellation round. It was experience that will serve the team well in the future. Special thanks to all the dads who spent their Father's Day supporting our lacrosse program.

District 86 Votes to Build Turf Fields for 2011 Season
After several months of discussion school board members voted on Monday, May 18, 2009 to move $4 Million from the district's working cash fund to a newly-created capital projects fund. The measure passed by a vote of 6-0. The movement of funds from working cash fund to the education fund to the newly created capital projects fund was based on the options provided by district attorney Lynn Hines.
The current plan has the 2010 season being the last on grass for Hinsdale Central. Immediately following the graduation ceremony of the class of 2010, the grass would be removed and the turf laid down so that the Red Devils can have their home opening football game on schedule, in August 2010.

Congratulations to Our 2009-10 Board
Your Officers for next year are: Frank Tenerelli, Commissioner; John McMahon, Treasurer; and Hank Kelley, Secretary. They will be working with board members, Brian Langham, Elaine Moore, Jeff Mohl, Susan Robertson-Jones, Vic Pasqualicchio, and Bill Santulli and for the ‘09-‘10 term.
Board Meetings
Lacrosse Board Meetings are held at Hinsdale Central High School, room 124A and begin promptly at 7pm. All interested parents are welcome to attend.
NEW DATE for next meeting: July 15th. Meeting has been pushed back a week due to schedule conflicts.
