Sign up for 2010 Lacrosse Season--Important Dates

Registration materials and fees are due by mail on January 16, 2010. Click the Registration button to the right for instructions and printable forms to be mailed to registrar Mr. Brian Langham (a few forms also go to the school). The mandatory Parent/Player meeting is scheduled for January 20, 2010 at 7:00 pm in the HC Auditorium. Please mark your calendars. Also, former players, please check your last season's uniforms. If you need any items, please notify  Mr. Jeff Mohl by e-mail at jmohl@glic.com before we leave for winter break. This is very important as there is a six week lead time on uniforms. Practice/Tryouts will begin on Monday, March 1, 2010. We're looking forward to another action-packed season of lacrosse and hope you are, too!

It's official! IHSA recognizes lacrosse for 2011 season

IHSA has approved state series for boys and girls lacrosse starting in the 2010-2011 school year. The sport will become an official spring sport provided that a minimum 65 boys teams and 40 girls teams are registered by February 2011. This is great news for lacrosse in Illinois! New Jordan Crist Memorial Scholarship plaque

An impressive new plaque is adorning the walls of Hinsdale Central to honor each year's recipient of the Jordan Crist Memorial Scholarship. The scholarship pays tribute to 2006 alumnus and Goalie Jordan Crist. A player is selected each year who most embodies the spirit of the award. Congratulations to Peter Santulli

Hinsdale Central senior Peter Santulli has committed to playing Division 1 lacrosse at the University of Vermont in 2011. Way to go Peter! All that wall ball has really paid off. Your coaches and teammates wish you great success.

District 86 Votes to Build Turf Fields for 2011 Season

After several months of discussion school board members voted on Monday, May 18, 2009 to move $4 Million from the district's working cash fund to a newly-created capital projects fund.  The measure passed by a vote of 6-0.  The movement of funds from working cash fund to the education fund to the newly created capital projects fund was based on the options provided by district attorney Lynn Hines.

The current plan has the 2010 season being the last on grass for Hinsdale Central.  Immediately following the graduation ceremony of the class of 2010, the grass would be removed and the turf laid down so that the Red Devils can have their home opening football game on schedule, in August 2010.

Board Meetings

Lacrosse Board Meetings are held at Hinsdale Central High School, room 124A and begin promptly at 7pm.  All interested parents are welcome to attend.
