Joining the Team
Registration will be only by mail.
Registration packets for the upcoming 2009 season are scheduled to be mailed to all players the week of December 15, 2008. Please remember to check your mail during this week for your packet. Completed information must be returned to the club registrar by Wednesday January 7, 2009.
Every interested NEW player must complete and submit a New Player Information Form to the lacrosse club. This will ensure that you are mailed a registration packet.
Information packets will automatically be sent to every current player. If you have moved, please contact Mr. Doheny with your new information.
Anyone who wishes to join the team after Wednesday January 7th should contact Mr. Doheny directly at 1 630-325.9379
Refund Policy
To be fair to everyone, we have instituted a firm
policy for refunds should a player choose to leave the team.
Any player who chooses to leave any team through the THIRD day after
teams are selected will receive a 100% refund of all fees.
The team selection day is not a fixed event, it is based upon the
amount of practice time available to us early in the season.
Once the coach makes the roster announcement, that is considered
selection day, and the player will have until the end of the third day
to decide to stay or go. Any player cut from the Varsity on
selection day will recieve a 100% refund of fees.
For example, if selection day is Monday March 3rd, they have
until the end of the day Thursday March 6th to ask for a full refund.
Any player who chooses to leave any team from the from the FOURTH
through the TENTH day after team selection will receive a 50% refund of
all fees. Any player leaving after the tenth day will not
receive any refund of fees.
For example, if selection day is Monday March 3rd, they have
until the end of the day Thursday March 13th to ask for a 50% refund.
The only exception is for any player receiving an injury that ends
their season. Should any player be injured and unable to
continue with the season, they will receive a 50% refund through the
day after the THIRD game of the season of the team that they play
for. To be elegible, the player must provide medical
verification of the injury; a note from a qualified physician will
suffice.
Physicals
All players must have a current medical physical form on file with Hinsdale Central High School. This is both a Hinsdale Central High School and Illinois High School Association requirement.
Physicals are only valid for one year. For purposes of lacrosse, the physical must cover the period of March 2, 2009 to June 12, 2009.
Players that do not have a medical physical form on file with the high school that covers this time period will not be allowed to practice or participate in games, no exceptions or waivers.
Proof of Insurance
Also, please note that all players in order to participate must be covered by a medical insurance policy for the period of March 2, 2009 to June 12, 2009. Neither the Hinsdale Central Boys' Lacrosse Club nor Hinsdale Central High School provides medical insurance coverage. Evidence of medical insurance coverage will be required as part of the registration process.
